Topple Tray - The Worlds best serving Tray - Single Handed

Topple Tray - The World's Best Serving Tray

So we are about to start shipping the first Topple Trays and we wanted to let you know why we think the Topple is the best serving tray in the world.

Features

The stainless steel serving tray has a single handle which when unfolded and in the upright position, sits above the centre point of the tray. This means that when holding the Topple Tray in your hand the tray can swing freely. Does that mean that drinks will spill? Absolutely not, the opposite in fact.

The magic of physics and centripetal force means that the drinks or food on the tray stays completely in place. It is the same principle as swinging a bucket of water over your head, as long as you’re fast enough the water will be pushed downward by the outward force on it and not spill a drop. But unless you’re appearing on Dragons Den (did you see the Tipsi Tray) its unlikely that you will be spinning the Topple Tray overhead!

We incorporated a beautifully engineered folding handle to the Topple Tray design which locks in place with a simple sliding tube. Secure, strong and elegant, this design really hits the brief.

Pros vs a regular Tray

The main one - Can be used with a single hand. Easier and safer than a conventional 2 handed serving tray.

Lightweight. (750g) lightweight enough that the weight is negated by the heavier drinks you will be carrying.

Quality. We have all been to a restaurant with battered tired trays. It doesn’t look professional or hygienic.

Neoprene Grippy Surface. As well as the stainless steel tray which can be used on its own, the Topple Tray includes a neoprene cover, which adds extra grip and helps to soak up condensation or spillages. (we know you won’t spill though)

Cons vs a regular serving tray

The Topple Tray is a little tricker to stack than a regular tray.

More expensive. This is of course a con, however in the long run the Topple Tray will pay for itself many times over through less spilled drinks, less cleaning time and less disruption.

Problem with regular serving trays - ‘But we’ve always done it this way’.

Unless you have forearms like a rock climber you’re likely going to carry a regular serving tray with 2 hands. Which is the main downside of course of a regular tray. With 2 hands full, balance is restricted, you cannot use a bannister, hold a cane or open a door. All things you can with the Tipsi or Topple Tray in a single hand. Plus you can more easily see your foot placement, less spills, less hassle and safer all round.

Topple Tray vs Tipsi Tray (The original)

We love feedback, of course we love 5 star feedback but ‘negative’ feedback is always super helpful. Check them out…

  1. Too heavy
  2. The handle comes loose

We reduced the weight of the Tipsi Tray by 50% when creating the Topple Tray making it super light and perfectly answering the customers’ concerns above.

We made the handle attached and folding. Again, based on customers feedback. The 2 points above are the only complaints we have had any we have solved them and then some! We can’t wait for reviews to roll in once the Topple Tray goes live as we believe we have cracked it! The design that is, not the tray Theo Paphitis!
