Some products earn a second chance. The Topple Tray is one of them.
Where it started
Long before the Topple Tray, there was the Tipsi Tray. It appeared on Dragons' Den back in 2021, and while Robert didn't walk away with investment from the Dragons, the exposure did something better: it built a loyal following. Sales took off, and it became clear there was real demand for a genuinely useful, single handed way to carry drinks and food around the home.
That success sparked the next step. Work began on a lighter, more refined evolution of the Tipsi, and the Topple Tray was born. It quickly built a following of its own, earning over 120 five star reviews across Amazon and the Single Handed website.
Why it went quiet
Then the obstacles piled up. Long lead times, a manufacturer shutting down, and new tariffs made it impossible to place another order. Stock ran out, and the Topple Tray went quiet, even as the reviews and requests kept coming in.
But the team never stopped looking for a way back. A new manufacturer is now lined up, and there's just one thing left standing between the Topple Tray and its return: hitting the minimum order quantity.
Why people love it
For anyone who has ever tried to carry a tray of drinks while also needing a hand free, the appeal is obvious. Customers walking with a cane, using crutches, or navigating a multi level home describe it as nothing short of life changing.
The tray itself weighs just 750g and comfortably carries three to four drinks in a single hand, leaving the other free to open a door, hold a banister, or steady a cane. A folding handle makes it easy to store, and an included neoprene mat grips items in place while soaking up any spills. It's half the weight of the original Tipsi Tray and built specifically with home use in mind.
One customer summed it up simply: it gave her grandfather back some of his independence. Another, who walks with a cane, called it the thing she'd been wishing existed her whole adult life.
How you can help bring it back
Right now, Single Handed is collecting email sign ups to gauge interest and unlock pre-orders. The goal is 500 pre-orders, or 1000 email sign ups, to make the relaunch happen.
If you want to be part of bringing the Topple Tray back into the world, or if you just want to be first in line when pre-orders open, you can register your interest on the relaunch page. And if you know someone who'd benefit from a tray like this, sharing it with them helps too.
